First edition, first impression, of the ninth Bond book. Ian Fleming's novel Thunderball incorporated material from an unproduced screenplay he had worked on in 1958 in collaboration with Kevin McClory, Jack Whittingham, and Ivar Bryce, with the result that Fleming found himself in a well-publicised case in the High Court defending himself against McClory's accusations of plagiarism, though Fleming and McClory eventually settled out of court.
